Robert Owen Young


Son of Thomas Young and Ellen Owen. .

Born in Hackney, Middlesex in 1877, the fortieth year of the reign of Queen Victoria, and died aged fifty-one in the nineteenth year of the reign of King George V  He has 2 direct descendants in the family.

An American Citizen

Robert Owen Young was named after his grandfather Robert Michael Owen of Llanrug in Snowdonia. His father died within months of his birth.

In 1893 aged 16 he emigrated via Liverpool to New York and became a naturalised American citizen in 1900.

In 1920 he came to London to visit his sisters.
